Aerial Photography

I recently purchased a book of aerial photography from The Monkey’s Paw.
It’s called Flights of Discovery: The Earth from Above and it features photographs taken by Georg Gester on a personal quest during which he logged more than 1,000 hours in the air over 59 countries all over the world.

It’s interesting to see the pattern and graphic shapes that emerge from human activity! I was inspired to create a few sketches of my own based on these photos:
